What is a "Nintendo"?

Nintendo is a company that manufacturers video games and video game consoles. Nintendo was founded in 1889, meaning the company has been in existence for well over 100 years. This website will focus on only about the 40 most recent years of Nintendo's history, specifically their hardware.

Why Nintendo?

Nintendo is an iconic easily recognizable company, with their mascot, Mario, being one of the most identifiable characters in the world. More so, Nintendo has made some very interesting decisions during the manufacturing of their consoles. Some of their hardware looks different across regions, some of their hardware has obscure and failed additions, and a lot of their hardware has many different revisions, changing the shape, size, and sometimes even the inner working of the console, all while keeping the same name and playing the same games. Most importantly, Nintendo has had an outstanding impact on myself personally, shaping my character to how it is today.
